Can anyone advise me how I make a print from an oil painting that I created? Thanks

Chad,
You first need to document your image which I feel is necessary for every painting you create. This documentation in the past (and still today) has always been by having your painting professionally photographed with the result being either a 4x5 or 8x10 transparency. Today, many artists are skipping this stage and having the image professionally scanned. If you take your art to whatever kind of printer you decide on (offset lithographer, giclee printer) they will have the source to scan your work. I have my paintings either photographed or scanned immediately after completing the painting. This is much easier to do than removing framing or getting the image back from the owner. Scott |
