I attended Donna's discussion at the Saturday exhibition, I think I understood her correctly;please let me know if I didn't. When she began her talk she said that she doesn't judge flowers or landscapes. She may have listed more, but I was so stunned by the beautiful works I had just seen and thought of the hours of work.sweat and tears that had gone into them, only to find they had no chance of winning an award. To be accepted is of course an honor in its' self. But I put my self in the place of all of the entrants, and wondered how they felt.
Was there that sort of explanation of the Juror at the call for entry or at any other time? I do not remember seeing anything of that sort. If not, I suggest it be discussed and added to any Juror's background. Please correct me if I'm wrong.I am not trying to start trouble. Thank you. |
