nicely done and a great demo...
what paper did you use?
my favorite is canson bristol plate finish....one can achieve incredible values without the problem of dealing with the texture of the paper..

I used the Utrecht plate bristol. I'm trying to get a roll of the stuff so I can try my hand at doing some life size full figure drawings. A fun challenge I'd love to try. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks for the tip on the rolls, I'm not sure if I have tried Canson's bristol, I know I hate strathmores for the way I work. I'll buy a pad this weekend and give it a shot, there is a Dick Blick store near me here that I can check out to see if they have more info on the canson roll. Thanks again.

DAVID, YOUR DRAWING OF THE FOOT IS REALLY WELL DONE. I ALSO WENT TO YOUR WEB SITE AND VIEWED YOUR BEAUTIFULLY POSED AND EXECUTED OIL PAINTINGS - WOW! VERY IMPRESSIVE.
