Hi fellow artists. I am an Australian that paints predominantly traditional landscapes/seascapes in oils.
I am planning an 8 week trip to America over November/December 2008 and am seeking advice or any assistance that you may be able to offer. I have recently returned from a year in the UK and Europe and received lots of help from the local artists there and am hoping that you guys will be able to offer me some helpful advice on where to go, what to see, cheap ways of hiring cars (or motorhome), finding affordable family accommodation. etc. I feel that there is nothing like local knowledge to avoid the usual tourist traps and to get the most out of our visit. I am particularly interested in which galleries to visit, areas of natural beauty (as I intend taking lots of photos and working up studies with the view of possibly holding an exhibition when I get home) and of course any advice on good quality affordable family accommodation (2 adults and 3 children) and travel options. Many thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide. Garry gkdolan@aapt.net.au |
