If it seems like you have noticed more aritsts using blogs, you'd be right. The reason is blogging is a very effective way for artists to get in touch with their collectors and find new ones. Plus, blogging is relatively easy and inexpensive to get started and maintain.
In my Art Print Issues blog, I have a couple of posts that can help you learn more and get started. The first is titled Why Every Artist Needs a Blog and the other is A Year of Blog Topics for Artists. Blogging can be fun and help you with your art career whether you are a fledgling artist or a seasoned pro, it's an activity that will pay dividends for you. All the best! Barney |

I agree about blogs, especially since most artist websites, though wonderfully artistic, are poorly crafted for search engines to boost ranking for artist searches.
The strength of a blog compensates for a poorly optimized website. Cross links between one's website and one's blog create a most beneficial synergy. If you are a portrait artist, please feel free to visit my site and sign up for a Free Online Gallery Listing. Entrepreneur, Art Lover & Internet Marketer |
